I recall the training that I attended as a great experience and it was one of the few training courses that I remember. And this is not only because of the scenes and actors being interesting.
Above all, this is due to the tools provided in the form of exercises each week. This was probably the most valuable aspect for me, because they provided an opportunity to gradually develop my skills.
As directors, we are constantly surprised by new, more or less stressful situations (scenes), and not many of us are able to work in unchanging and systematic work conditions, or we simply don’t know how to do it.
