Meeting Facilitation

Long, chaotic meetings involving many people, with unclear goals or outcomes, are a nightmare for employees. Yet those leading meetings are rarely aware of the qualities that an effective meeting should have. Moreover, we are seldom familiar with the art of running meetings itself — namely, facilitation.

A well-prepared, well-conducted, and properly concluded meeting makes it possible to share information, make decisions, and get work done.

An effective meeting engages and supports participants, leaving them energized and satisfied with the results achieved.

In this part of the Toolbox, we present approaches to running meetings as well as exercises designed to engage participants.
