GIF Challenge

The exercise involves participants answering the question: “What is your role in the team?” by selecting a GIF and pasting it onto a previously prepared board, e.g., in Miro (or in a document, or another place). It is important that all meeting members have access to the place where the GIF is located so that the person posting it can discuss it and say why they perceive their role in the team this way.

How to conduct this exercise?

Step 1:
Prepare a shared space for GIFs

Prepare a place accessible to all meeting participants, which they can see and use to show and describe their GIFs during the meeting. This can be a board in Miro, a folder on a shared drive, a document, etc.

Step 2:
Find a GIF
Find a GIF. Go to giphy.com and search for a picture that describes your role in the team, e.g., “sleepy cat”.
Step 3:
Paste the GIF.

Paste the link to the GIF into the previously prepared place accessible to all meeting members. Picture → Share → Copy link → Paste.

Step 4:
Answer round

Designate the next presenters (or let them nominate the next person to speak). Everyone shows their GIF and answers the question of why they chose it and how it represents their role in the team. For example: I chose a yawning cat because it is often hard for me to focus at morning meetings and I yawn
