Exercise rules:You show the participants a picture with the periodic table of elements.
Each person gives their name, what element they are, and why. Additionally, you can ask more questions to better understand the reason for choosing the element, the person’s hobby, or their position in the company. Write down the information on a flipchart, in a note, or on a board.
They will be useful later to remember who is who and for e.g., conversations during breaks. How to conduct this exercise?
Step 1:
Present the rules
Present the rules of the exercise and show the table of elements. Give 5 minutes to think about it.
Step 2:
The first person speaks
The first person (alphabetically, or randomly, or nominated) provides their name, element, and the justification for choosing the element.
Step 3:
Ask additional questions
Ask follow-up questions during the process. Write down the information in a place visible to everyone.
This is an interactive and laughter-inducing introductory exercise. It consists of people at the meeting answering the question: “What is your role in the team?” by choosing a GIF.
The exercise consists of “opening up” people at the meeting using the technique of providing one word. It causes a lot of interaction and stimulates the imagination.
